I am investigating a Texas Instruments battery management system IC for use in an ebike battery side project. This IC is particularly interesting because it should also be a great fit for the modular battery pack I am designing at work. I’ve got cell voltage measurement and balancing working at this point using TI’s development kit. The battery pack will be a replacement for a 2.7kW ebike I built using lead acid batteries a few years back.
